If I understand your question correctly, the navigation display reverts to where it should be (your aircraft's symbol in the centre) automatically after a few seconds.
Alternatively, press on the large yellow arrow (showing where you are off-screen) to return immediately.

Don't worry, I am a SD user for two years now and still finding out how all the features work!

Would it ever be possible to include a button function on screen while navigating that held the existing page etc and avoided, for example moving the page away from the current position? Sometimes difficult in my old a/c with an ancient pilot to aim accurately in turbulence (no comments please!).
